But it was too late. The train had already left the station. There was no way to get down. Rafiq left the seat for the man and told him about his mistake. The man felt sorry and suggested Rafiq getting down at the next station. Rafiq looked at his watch. It was almost 10 pm. So asked the man how much it would take to reach the next station. The man replied that it would take about an hour. Rafiq lost his heart and got frightened thinking what he would do getting down there. Besides, he had two lac taka in his suitcase. He became pale thinking about upcoming danger. He was also fearful about the snatcher. Finding him thoughtful, the man said that he would also get down at the next station and assured that he would help him to get into an inn. In the meantime, ticket master came and Rafiq managed him showing his ticket. At last the train reached the station. Rafiq got down. The man showed Rafiq the way to the nearest inn. The town was very quiet and there was hardly any people. There were not enough street lights. The road was dark. He was walking along the street. Suddenly, two people emerged and pointed gun at him. They told him to give them all his belongings. As he refused, one of them loaded the gun and threatened his life. He started trembling. His suitcase fell down from his hand. He sat down. They snatched away his suitcase, moneybag everything.

রফিকের দুর্ভাগ্য
রফিক ট্রেনে চড়ল। সে তার আসন খুঁজে পেল এবং বসে পড়ল। কয়েক মিনিট পরে, অন্য একজন যাত্রী আসনটি দাবি করল এবং রফিক বিস্মিত হয়ে দেখল যে সে ভুল ট্রেনে চড়েছে। কিন্তু তখন অনেক দেরী হয়ে গেছে। ট্রেনটি ইতোমধ্যে স্টেশন ছেড়ে চলে গেছে। ট্রেনটি থেকে নামার কোনো উপায় ছিল না। রফিক লোকটির জন্য তার আসন ছেড়ে দিল এবং তার ভুল স্বীকার করল। লোকটি দুঃখ প্রকাশ করল এবং রফিককে পরবর্তী স্টেশনে নেমে যাওয়ার জন্য পরামর্শ দিল। রফিক তার ঘড়ি দেখল। তখন প্রায় রাত দশটা বাজে। সে লোকটিকে জিজ্ঞাসা করল পরবর্তী স্টেশনে পৌঁছতে তার কত সময় লাগতে পারে। লোকটি উত্তর দিল যে প্রায় এক ঘণ্টা লাগতে পারে। রফিকের মন ভেঙে পড়ল এবং সেখানে নেমে কী করবে ভেবে ভয় পেল। তাছাড়া, তার স্যুটকেসে দুই লাখ টাকা ছিল। আসন্ন বিপদের কথা ভেবে সে বিবর্ণ হয়ে গেল। ছিনতাইকারীর ভয়ে সে ভীত হয়ে পড়ল। তাকে চিন্তিত দেখে, লোকটি বলল যে সে পরের স্টেশনে নেমে যাবে এবং তাকে সান্ত¡না দিল যে সে তাকে হোটেলে উঠতে সাহায্য করবে। ইতোমধ্যে টিকেট মাস্টার আসল এবং রফিক তাকে টিকিট প্রদর্শন করে মানিয়ে নিতে সমর্থ হলো। অবশেষে ট্রেনটি স্টেশনে পৌঁছল। রফিক নেমে পড়ল। লোকটি রফিককে নিকটবর্তী হোটেল দেখিয়ে দিল। শহরটি ছিল খুব শান্ত এবং খুব কম লোকজন দেখা গিয়েছিল। রাস্তায় পর্যাপ্ত সংখ্যক বাতি ছিল না। রাস্তা ছিল অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন। সে রাস্তা দিয়ে হেঁটে যাচ্ছিল। হঠাৎ দুইজন লোককে দেখা গেল, তার দিকে বন্দুক তাক করল। তারা তাকে সবকিছু দিয়ে দেবার জন্য বলল। যখন সে অস্বীকার করল, তাদের একজন বন্দুকে গুলি ভরল এবং তার জীবননাশের হুমকি দিল। সে ভয়ে কাঁপতে শুরু করল। তার হাত থেকে স্যুটকেস পড়ে গেল। সে বসে পড়ল। তারা তার স্যুটকেস, মানিব্যাগ সবকিছু কেড়ে নিল।
