Responsibility of a Kind Hearted Person
Mr. Rahman is a retired officer. Usually he goes for a walk everyday early in the morning. One day while walking in the morning he saw a man lying senseless by the side of a road. He went nearer to the man. Mr. Rahman recognized the man easily. It was one of his neighbours Mr. Samad. What he saw was frightening. The lying man had an accident. He fell down from a rickshaw and broke his leg.
Mr. Samad was seriously injured and failed to stand up. Mr. Rahman requested a passer-by to help them by hiring a taxi-cab.
Within a few minutes they got a taxi and Mr. Rahman lifted his neighbour on it. He took him to the hospital and admitted him for treatment.
Later, he phoned to Mr. Samad's family members about the accident. They hurried to the hospital. Mr. Rahman tried to ease them and spoke with condolence.
In a few days, Mr. Samad came round. He and his family members showed gratitude to Mr. Rahman for his kindness and responsibility.

জনাব রহমান একজন অবসরপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা। সাধারণত প্রতিদিন সকালে তিনি হাঁটতে বের হন। একদিন সকালে হাঁটার সময় তিনি রাস্তার পাশে একটি লোককে অচেতন অবস্থায় পড়ে থাকতে দেখলেন। তিনি লোকটির কাছে গেলেন। জনাব রহমান লোকটিকে সহজেই চিনতে পারলেন। তিনি ছিলেন তার একজন প্রতিবেশী জনাব সামাদ। তিনি যা দেখলেন তা ছিল ভয়ংকর। পড়ে থাকা লোকটি দুর্ঘটনার শিকার হয়েছিল। তিনি রিক্সা থেকে পড়ে যান এবং তার পা ভেঙে যায়। জনাব সামাদ মারাত্বকভাবে আহত হন এবং উঠে দাঁড়াতে ব্যর্থ হন। জনাব রহমান একজন পথিককে একটি টেক্সি ক্যাব ভাড়া করে দিয়ে তাদেরকে সাহায্য করতে অনুরোধ করেন। কয়েক মিনিটের মধ্যে তারা একটি টেক্সি ক্যাব পেয়ে যান এবং জনাব রহমান তার প্রতিবেশীকে এতে উঠান। তিনি তাকে হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যান এবং চিকিৎসার জন্য তাকে ভর্তি করান। পরবর্তীতে তিনি জনাব সামাদের পরিবারের সদস্যদের দুর্ঘটনা সম্পর্কে জানিয়ে ফোন করেন। তারা দ্রুত হাসপাতালে পৌঁছান। জনাব রহমান তাদেরকে শান্ত করার চেষ্টা করেন এবং সান্ত¡নার সাথে তাদের সঙ্গে কথা বলেন। অল্প কয়েকদিনের মধ্যে জনাব সামাদ সুস্থ হয়ে উঠেন। তিনি এবং তার পরিবার জনাব রহমানের প্রতি তার দয়া ও দায়িত্বশীলতার জন্য কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করেন।
